nope, sorry. why do you feel it has to be black and with grey gradients? plus it looks like it was done 5 years ago.

dont need the background gradient at all - just keep it as one colour, preferably not a dark one. Way too much going on in the banner section of the page - its hard to know whats what. And, did you nick the icons from somewhere - they look familiar

ok ive got rid of the background gradient which i like but i also thought the gradient added more interest, yet i know what you mean i didnt want it to be in your face, but just to add some depth to the design

You've hit the spot though. Think we'd all been wondering when someone would come up with another designers talking website, not many around.

I would softent the 'metal' gradient backgrounds on the category headers and behind the banner. I think they are too strong. I'd also like to see more padding/margins within the main bulk of the design as it looks a little clutterred for my taste.

It looks like a gaming forum more than a graphic/design forum.

i really apericate this site, i love how everyone is so frank, and cut through the bull when it comes to design, many graphics forums i go on just say good, not bad, like it, etc... which is not very helpfull, i hope GraphicsTalk becomes to have the same sort comments as this

i can understand what your saying about the grads, i want the design to by bold and interesting but yet i dont want it to have a tacky look to it... back to the drawing board

This forum is pretty sweet...

My friend runs this site. Isn't it sick?

ok could you spare some time to explain, that would really help, cheers

What would you do for a dark theme, cos i really dont want to do a light themed forum design as there are so many of them around i want to try a different approache
