I'll go with a WTF?

yeah WHAT is going on wih all the fansites?

I presume these are all pet projects for you to cut your teeth on. with that in mind:
  1. If you have to tell people how to use the site navigation, you've failed!
  2. the simon-barclay top menu bar is offensively bad. get rid!
  3. Your coding is horrible, tables will do you no favours. I'm not going into a pro-css rant. this board is littered with them already.
  4. some text which isn't an image would be nice!
  5. why are you putting google ads on? seriously how much traffic are you expecting?
  6. Your design is sort-of getting there (cough!)

Keep on going and you'll get there

Not only that, but with everything in images, there's no content for Google to index so the ads won't work as well as they should. A couple only work because they say "BBC" in the disclaimer.

It took me a while to figure out to click on the door to enter, but then again it has been a long day. Some of the pages are really nice.

Ive done them because i wanted to do something for practice, so i just came up with fansites there easy to do content for as i have alot of dvds magazines and i have an interest in them etc...

Also this site i did back in June, for my final major project in Art & Design at college, thats why its more image bassed, because thats what they were looking for, so i put it up because i thought it would be a shame to go to waste.

max h, i totatly agree with you about the CSS, i really want to get into purley coding sites with it, ive started using topstyle as a start, i agree about the lack of written content which im going to have to figure out how to resolve.

Your actual design has improved fuck loads though. I really like that page you come to after clicking the door, get rid of the ads and rethink the top navigation bar and it'll look really quite good.

Well may I ask what you expected to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain...
