it can take up to 1 month before you see any results, when did you add your url ? do you have any server side settings, robot.txt etc... disabling certain search bots or other that could be causing an issue ? does your site respect googles guidelines ? because if not, they may not be indexing it for reasons that are against their guidelines. (over use of hidden content considered spam, duplicate content for example) |

Make sure you are updating regularly. One of the easiest ways to do this might be to start a blog. Post as often as you can while still making sure your content is original/creative, but keep it consistent. You won't be able to maintain a post per day for very long. Also, join and post to social bookmarking pages like digg, stumbleupon, or delicious. Just get the word out. |

Try getting a high PR website to link to you e.g via a blog post. This is because blogs tend to be indexed faster and more regularly than a standard built website. If a link to your site appears on a blog entry (assuming the blogger hasn't disallowed bots like Googlebot to visit external sites) then Googlebot (Google's web bot which indexes everything) will visit your website and do what it needs to do to get you listed in Google. Finding a blog entry on [www (dot) davidairey (dot) com] may be a good starting point. Remember to post useful comments and include the link to your website. The more blog postings you make, the better your chance of bein indexed quicker. The higher PR the blog entry page has the better because not only will it count as a method of gaining entry to Google's index, it'll also help your rankings once you get there for whatever specific content the website is going to be offering. @teehoi: Haha. Nice One. |
