Google Cache
I have recently completed a site and submitted it to google etc.... I have done some Google Searches for my site and Google has cached the preview directory that i put the site under so the customer could view it before i put it live on the root folder. When i search Google using a phrase, i get the preview link which errors out. Does anyone know how i could fix this? Another problem i am having is the #1 listing which shows "Index of /" - does anyone know why this is occuring? here is the link to the search: Ingredients Box - Google Search Cheers |

Wait. It probably last indexed when there was no index file in the root. As for /preview/ you should set up a 301 redirect to point that elsewhere (to the root, probably). This is why you don't mess with a live domain or put development versions up without controlling things with robots.txt, htaccess, etc until you're ready for a final launch! |
