You can buy multiple domains and forward them to your main domain, but that won't help Google. I have clients who do this. You can buy multiple domains and host the same site through them, but that will quickly get you banned from Google altogether. Best to avoid that. To get good results with Google you need good, relevant content, lots of backlinks, and well coded HTML. |

Forgive me, im pretty clueless about this/ Quote:
Thats what I was thinking of doing...theres quite a few phrases that are relevent to me, and are still avalable as URLs... but this is not recomended right? The site itself is totaly flash, contained within a basic index.html file, the html file has some meta text data, and also within the main html page there is some invisible text (that is placed under the actual flash file) but is really small and matches the background colour of the site, so is not visible. Are these good or bad things todo? cheers again |

Assuming you're embedding the Flash properly via something like SWFObject or UFO, then you can provide descriptive alternate text/information in the element that is replaced by the Flash. Search engines and users without Flash will see the content, everyone else will see the Flash. Like I said, feel free to purchase multiple domains and redirect them to your main domain. However, this will not affect your SE rankings at all. What you don't want to do is buy these domains and host them with the same content as your main site. Duplicate content is a big no-no. |

Why would Google ban for this? I know Google is strict but are you sure about this? I just know that some companies get several domains, sometimes one with the title of their company and second with the relevant words. For example like trend micro has trendmicro.com and antivirus.com - which are directed to the same website and are not redirected. Many companies have several domains directed to same site, also many of them reserve several domains with different extensions such .com, .net, .us and so on... So no I don't Google would ban for this... |
