Importance of Meta description tag
Meta Tags are one of the most important thing in Promo link deleted by Mod Webnauts /Search Engine Marketing, In that "Meta description tag" is the most important one. The META Description Tag usually consists of 25 to 30 words or less using not more than 160 to 180 characters totally including spaces. The Meta description also shows up in many search engine results as a summary of your site. The META Description Tag is still an important factor in the overall equation of page development. Everything you do to that page will have an influence on something. i.e A description tag must explain the content of the page & what are they working with. |

Yeah, that's true but we cannot ignore h1 tag, as it represents the topic of content of the page, we should try to use our main keywords in H1 tag too which will also help in SEO and getting better ranking. |

I think you can't pinpoint one thing as beigning important for SEO ... ... you must take everything on the page into consideration ... that is to say look at the - title - headings (h1, h2, h3) - links within the site (both out going and incoming) - content ---> biggest factor i believe your meta tags should then reflect on all of the above :-) Website Designing | Website Design |

Nope. The problem is though that the more keywords you stuff into your "keywords"-tag, the less weight each one gets. So until about two years ago my strategy was to keep the number of keywords down to a minimum, i.e. 5 to 7 words in total. At some point, though, I stopped using the keywords-tag all together, because most major search engines (most notably Google) don't care about them. So, to cut a long story short, you might as well just omit the keywords-tag all together. |
