The tour sells the update...completely.

I've heard that if you get to a certain point traffic-wise, they contact you and ask you to pay. It sounds unbelievable, but is there any truth to this?

my traffic isn't so high - but it seems less probable; they get a lot of information and don't pay for it; I assume they're fair enough not to ask to be paid.

50 websites to monitor per account. Mother FUCK! Google needs to remove that limitation quickly...

It's not the setup I hate...that's an improvement. It's the fact that they say 5,000,000 pageviews, but they limit you to monitoring 50 websites per account. Bastardos...

I have been a long time user of statcounter, and tried google analytics for a short while. I found, for the info I wanted to get at, that statcounter was easier to use. I switched back. My site is not large by any means, so perhaps my feelings would change if I had a large site with lots of traffic.
