How to find your position on google

Hi,

I have just started doing few websites, I want to know if there is way by which I can find whats my sites position on google for a particular keyword. e.g say my site is www.xyz.com and I optimized for "Women accessories". How I can find whats my sites position on google if someone searches "Women Accessories". Is there any tool to find that. As in case its positioned at 200th position, its hard to find in google results.

thanks in advance

There are some Google webmaster's tools, there's a link somewhere on the about page, if I remember rightly it has something like this in there.

There is a website - forget its name now - that ranks websites in accordance to user ratings and design and the coding etc etc. You probably know it now maybe? Anyway they ahve a tool which does this for you but I think you may have to pay a subscription fee. But google has webmaster tools but I looked on the website and I couldnt find it, then again my site isnt activated yet lol.

Hi Sahota,

There is a lot of software on market like for instance: Internet Business, Promoter, SEO Studio, Dynamic Submission ... the issue is that because it is sort of "All In One" programs except ranking you can make a lot more with it which means that you need to pay $$$ for it

Anyway,
I would like to recommend to you the Free Googlemon from Cleverstat
which you can download here -> w ww.cleverstat.c om/google-monitor-query.htm * (remove spacebar from link)

Free Monitor for Google main features:

* Monitors Google web ranking
* Supports more than 50 countries
* Supports multiple URLs
* Can work through a proxy
* Exports results to CSV
* Imports keywords from a text file
* Can work through the Google Web API 1
* Supports Unicode

I have been used it for 4 years and its realy cool
Warning! Sometimes likes to hang if you put more than 25 keywords with deep search over 500 positions for one website but besides it works fine.

All best with your ranking fight !

*sorry for the link but (You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you have made 15 posts or more.)

I use the Web CEO software and there is the Check Rankings button. It works werry well, you can chose any search engine in the world and check your position for any keyword. I can recomend it.

We use Internet Business Promoter by Axandra. It really is a great progam, they have a free version.

You also use free software named "WEBCEO" to track your target keyword on google and other meta search engine.
Cheers
