Hi Mr Luther, Well, you've asked a BIIIIGGGGGG question and given minimal information to help any of us advise you on the best path/s to take. Firstly, increasing your page rank doesn't guarantee you will increase your site traffic. There are plenty of examples of pages with low page rank beating other pages with high PR to rank in Google. Secondly, forget about PR - it's not that important anymore, because Google is changing the way they use it and constantly refining their ranking algorithms. Just as one example, if you want to increase traffic to your site/s, try adding lots of high quality, informative, unique content to it. That will (in the long-term) make a huge difference, because the more content you have, the more keywords you can rank for, which increases your traffic. Mind you, don't do what the idiot brigade does and just add lots of already-published content (from sites such as ezinearticles.com or un-rewritten PLR, for example) without any of your own unique new content. You're wasting your time doing that. There are MANY different ways to increase your traffic (I can think of 20 just off the top of my head), but until I have a much clearer idea of what your current situation is, I can't best advise you. Perhaps if you will post your site URL here and some more details of what your site is about and what you are currently doing to create traffic, I can help more. regards Eran Malloch WCR Internet Marketing |

Page ranking huh? I submit my sites to web directories - thousands if I have to. Some people feel it's a waste of time, but it does help your site's performance in the SERPs. I've also submitted my sites to free advert forums, etc...pretty much anywhere I can submit them (the more exposure, the better). I don't believe in spamming forums though, it might give your site a bad name (so I wouldn't advise it). I know some in here will tell you that PR isn't important. But at this day and age, it still is...esp. if you're looking to sell links at your site. |

REALLY??? I would have never guessed that high quality content that might, I dont know, entice people to visit and revisit your site would increase traffic... Remember, SEO really does not take all that much. - Make sure your pages and articles are well written on your site so people will link back to you - Make sure you update your content regularly so the search engines index your site more often - Make sure your code is well written so the search engines have better ability to see what is on your page - Make sure any keywords you want to be known by are well represented - And finally, participate in forums and article sites that are relevant to your website. All of this will increase your standing with google. Someone that can make their own website and has a basic understanding of how the web works does not really need all that much help passed this, if you follow these instructions, you will eventually see your standings with google to rise. It has nothing to do with quality. This is the interwebs, where quantity is everything. I think I'll ban those SEO minges later this afternoon. My free fonts www.utfi.net

quality helps to keep people coming back. Whats the point of going through the trouble of getting people there if they never come back? Jason Corradino - Development, SEO, UI, Information Security, Information Architecture, Heuristic Testing, Accessibility, and all around great guy

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. I meant the opposite of what I wrote. It's a style not used in north America. Is Google still reading keywords? Are you sure? Would you feel foolish if you had two hundred variations of your keywords if intelligent search engines ignore them, as they should? My free fonts www.utfi.net

I thought it was sarcasm... I was just making sure... because I know there are people that believe that way. Jason Corradino - Development, SEO, UI, Information Security, Information Architecture, Heuristic Testing, Accessibility, and all around great guy

1. Get Those Inbound Links Since Google ranks your pages according to the number of links pointing at your page, it stands to reason that you should try to get as many links pointing at your pages as possible. This is so obvious that I'm only mentioning it for completeness sake. 2. Your Title Tag Google seems to give weight to the title of your page. By title, I mean the text that is sandwiched between the HTML <TITLE> tags in the <HEAD> section of your web page. If you use a Web editor that automatically inserts a title like "New Page", remember to change it to some meaningful text with your keywords inside to reap the benefit of this feature. |
