Okay - I'm curious about this. I've been looking around MySpace and have come across some pages for artists which seem to have a huge number of hits compared to the number of friends they have. One band in particular caught my eye - they've had 43000 plus hits in less than a month, but are a rarely-gigging-small-time local covers band. Their page has been closed down twice apparently, so I was wondering if some people were employing some sneaky coding trickery to boost their hits..? Last edited by H.Yates : 17-10-2006 at 09:15. |

Hmm. Yes, I think you have a point. Interestingly, that particular page has just been deleted for, apparently, the 3rd time. Something's surely going on - I've also seen paid job adverts asking for code to boost certain artists' view hits, hence pushing them up the popularity lists on the site. I just wondered how they were doing it. |
