Page hits vs regular visitors.
Hi. This is something Jakob Nielsen has mentioned in his books. It is allways better to create site which gets people coming back again, than trying to collect loads of page hits, but not having really many regular visitors who keep coming back again and again. My idea how to get people coming back... you need to have a blog or something else, which gives users possibility to give their effort for the website. I guess it is also good to look stats about how long people stay on your website. It also gives some idea about how much interesting content is on your website. Frontpage with plenty of google ads doesn't make people to come again for same site. Jakob Nielsen's website, if anyone is interested of his theories: http://www.useit.com/ - Jukka - |
