Website Advertising

Does anybody have any ideas how I can advertise my website on the web affectively? Anybody know any good websites and services that are really good and cheap?

I've trawled through Google etc. looking and added my website to a few sites etc. My search engine promotion is sorted as a paid quite a bit of money on optimization and submission.

Any good tips would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Get other sites to link you (including directories and such), have clean, semantic, and accessible code, update content regularly, and above all else try to have content that people are interested in.

It's fine to pay for SEO services, but let's just hope you paid someone reputable.

As far as actual advertising, there's always services like Google AdSense...

You could've posted a link to your site in that post and had another backlink. Just don't spam your link. Post it once in a relevant setting and be done with it.

EDIT: Nevermind, you've already posted your link thrice. No need for more.

I had my search engine optimization and submission done by ineedhits.com. Was I right to trust in them to do a good job for me?

The site is http://www.freeithelpdesk.com and i didn't post this with the original submission as i thought this mite be considered spam as I was just enquiring about promotion ideas.

Thanks again and keep the suggestions coming.

Fix spelling errors, write in proper sentences, make it easy to read. Answer more than a dozen questions. Search function would be nice.

As you may have been able to tell i'm not a fantastic web designer, its the content that i'm currently working on. I was thinking about providing a search function when I have more content but i wouldn't really know where to start creating a search function.

My site is only a little over a month old, and I get about 30 unique visitors a day. I think it is good. The site is http://www.smartboydesigns.com

hi all,
I'm just going to sound off here a bit in a totally un-appropriate thread for what I'm thinking I'll do. I'd like to have people pay me money to advertise on my site, not vice versa.
It's definately 2 different schools of thinking. SEO requires more than just dumping money in someone's pocket I'm thinking.
30 unique visitor's a day is really pretty good, sustaining those visitor's, and keeping them coming back requires continually adding new content, that's that difficult part sometimes, for a content based website.
There are good search engine strategy articles to follor yourself to do a proper job of coding and tagging stuff in the meta. I don't really think the paid guy's can really keep up with it, the search engine target audience is constantly changing just by what's hot, what's a buzzword.
Good luck.

Do you have any idea what you're going on about - or are you just talking out of your arse??

I know for a fact that google adword placement really does work exceptionally well if implemented properly.

Spamming your domain name in a random thread like smartboy has all the hallmarks of desperation.

http://www.smartboydesigns.com/gallerybackgrounds.html < is this some kind of joke?
