Linking multiple domains to a website

Linking multiple domains to a single URL:
i.e mydomain-keyword.com/keyword-mydomain.com etc all mapped to single website at domain.com

Good or bad idea?

301 redirect is the most efficient and Search Engine Friendly method for webpage redirection. The code "301" is interpreted as "moved permanently".

Anyone have any experience using this and any advice on how to implement it?

if your host uses cpanel you can do it automatically. otherwise use a htaccess file.

but as other said, it's not a good idea to be marketing both urls.

Cheers lads.
Does the same rule apply to masked sites such as web forwarding i.e using a frame-set to contain the targeted material under a different URL?

masking means you use frames, I dont think it goes well with search engines.

Frames are not such a good idea for search engine marketing. Also, by forwarding different domains to the same URL, you lose the benefit of marketing each site individually. Really, your money would be better spent on buying one domain and marketing it properly. For example, for the price of one domain registration, you could buy blog posts on 280 blogs. Just my two bits though...
