import xml feed to mysql

how the fuck to you import a xml feed (url) to a mysql database?

do you just want to dump the raw xml into one column for each row? or do you want to parse the doc and insert nodes into respective columns?

I imagine by "what lang?" you mean php, asp etc.. ? because that would be needed in order to give an answer to the question

with php 5 would look at using simplexml: PHP: SimpleXML - Manual

or for older php version, this should work:
