sessions and different php versions
I've posted this everywhere else so might as well ask you lot... Does anyone know of any differerences in how sessions are started and dealt with between php4.0.4 and php4.3.3? Basically I've built a site using sessions on my own webspace (using PHP4.3.3). Everything's working as it should. I've had to upload the site on my uni server (using PHP4.0.4) to submit it and things have started to go pear shaped! I'm using $HTTP_SESSION_VARS which I thought was backward compatible. That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.

this happens to me every time... build the thing locally, works great, test it on my personal server, works great, upload to our client server.. nothing. and its been for various reasons - differing php versions, different methods of supplying sql dbs.. always end up tweaking the code (or using hotscripts |

I just want to cry. Or grab the uni support guy by the neck and ram his fucking linux penguin paper weight down his fucking throat. Breathe and relax. That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.
