Hello all,
I'm trying to get mysql set up on my mac so that I can run a forum on my local machine to share with a few people in the office.
I was having some problems which I thought I'd solved but now it's back. When I run a test I get this error in a browser;
Error 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

Has anyone solved this one before or can point me in the direction of some how tos?

sounds like your mysql server or socket isn't setup right, have a look at dev(dot)mysql(dot)com/doc/refman/5.0/en/can-not-connect-to-server.html

replace the dots in url
