Recommend a few good ASP.NET beginners books?

After spending the last 3 hours reading Amazon reviews on ASP.NET 2.0 books I feel like my head is going to explode....

Can anyone recommend a good book or two to get me on my way?

I only have a fairly basic understanding of PHP and prior to that COBOL and PASCAL so something that is aimed at a newbie would be great.

Im possibly about to order Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 or ASP.NET 2.0 Unleashed so any feedback on these, or other titles is welcome.

Also, how do the MS Press books rate, I've heard both good and bad things?

ASP 2.0 Unleashed by Stephen Walther if its anything like version 1.0 would be a good un. programmer to programmer books are a bit less idiot proof, and feel more like documentation.
