PHP guff

Ok, so I got my PHP working with Apache. Or at least I thought I did.

Within the webs file, I had a few little PHP testers, an theyall worked fine. However, when I created a new folder within the webs folder, and put some new PHP files in there, they were no longer found on the server when I typed in their address in the browser.

Why is this? Surely I don't have to put everything directly in the webs folder?

Any help appreciated

Cheers

Is it a test server, is the server accessible online? did you setup php as a cgi? maybe post links to your apache configuration and php.ini and location of the web root folder.

Hi there, thanks for getting back to me.

Firstly, just so you know, I'm pretty new to all this PHP stuff, so I'm learning as I go!

Here is a link to the php.ini and here is the Apache config.

Can you make any sense out of it? I think I've set the default file to look in a folder called test, but surely I'd still be able to put things in new folders as long as they were in the test folder?

Cheers

Have you checked your error logs? what happens when you try and access a new file? 404?

I've never run php as a CGI so I'm not sure how that differers from running it as a module.
