Hi ppl,

Im a designer but looking to get into some simple programming, has anyone here got experience with Ruby on Rails?

Its seems quite a nice langauge to work with, anyone share there experince and how easy it is to work with?

I've been developing in Ruby On Rails for the last 3 months or so. I love it. How easy is it to work with? Difficult to say unless you've had any development experience. It's not quite as obvious as something like PHP or ASP but it is more structured. Ruby is a brilliant language and so if you want to get a feel of the Ruby language - http://www.rubycentral.com/book/index.html

I'm not entirely sure how suitable Rails is for beginners (even though I've been using Rails for over a year), or any framework for that matter, but Ruby is a great language to learn, beginner or not. If you get to grips with Ruby, then definately check out Rails.
