Designing CSS Web Pages by Christopher Schmitt Not much of a code book but great for getting you used to the idea of designing with the content and presentation seperate. There are loads of examples, what I meant by no code is it doesn't go into explaining the syntax to deeply. That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.

CSS Programmers Reference http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0072131780/ I've been holding out for CSS3 before I buy a syntax guide type thing. It hink it's gonna be needed. That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.

This one looks promising and is written by the guys who are writing the CSS standard at W3C. Cascading Style Sheets: Designing for the Web http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...913080-0123804 Quote:
I wouldn't put off buying a CSS1+2 book for the sake of CSS3 which is unlikely to enjoy broad, reliable support within the 12 months. For the sake of £20 I'd buy a book (this book?) now and get on with it. |
