help, spot colour problem :-(

ive got a dutone image in photoshop using pantone 357c, i save it as an eps file, and 'place' in illustrator. when i put the same spot colour up against it using illustrator, they look and print very different. both of my colour profiles match...can anyone help see what im doing wrong

If you use Pantone solid colors in Photoshop or Illustrator, use the Pantone Solid to Process library in Photoshop (cmyk color mode) for things you want to import into Illustrator. When saving a file as a Photoshop EPS, never check the button for “Postscript Color Management”.

Making sure that the pantone colours are an exact match try linking the image instead of embedding
