Low volume calendar run

I would be very grateful for some advice from you guys...

I am helping to put together a 2005 calendar - small scale, kind of charity thing - and I don't really know where to begin to find a printer.

Volumes are likely to be pretty low (between 100 - 300). Would you have any recommendations for a printer who would do those sort of quantities & how much it is likely to cost ?

We are thinking of A3 sized, single sided, probably B&W, good quality paper (by the way, any advice about what paper type/thickness I should specify ?).

Thanks.

Do you just mean a sheet of A3 card? Look in your phone book for stationary printers, who generally operate on a 2-colour press. Regarding paper quality - do you want it poster standard (170-200gsm) or light card (250-300gsm).

If you're in West Yorkshire, I have used AW Angus in Leeds in the past if not - just phone a printer (an independent, not printing.com/kallkwik/prontaprint etc) and ask for their advice. Most independents are fairly specialised and will pass on work where it's not worth there while (and in most cases, to be frank, your job won't be)

Might be a bit far, but I've always found these guys fairly reasonable for small run stuff:

[edit]I've just realised you didn't say where you were, I'd assumed from Jon's post it was Leeds, DOH. Yellow pages always a good place to start, get some quotes in[/edit]
