useful for flicking through but there's a lot of shit in there. i'd been stuck on a nav bar for 3 days and needed inspiriation. i'd say its a pretty useful book. gonna try and get the previous versions. they're less than 15 quid each. |

I've been having a book sesh recently http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...698542-8300652 - this superb! and for Origami (actually more of Pop up design), I'd recommend 'Paper Engineering' by Natalie Avella, designed by Multistory. tis a very handy book for mailers etc. And I've just been given an advance copy of the latests from this lady called 'Animal Rites' - She's amazing. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...698542-8300652 |

Fawcett-Tang seems intent on cornering the market in books on this kind of topic. He/his company (Struktur) have produced some nice work. Nasty website though. Hasn't changed since at least 1999. struktur.co.uk He still hasn't been convinced to fix the various issues with his website, despite being advised about it back in 1999. - Off-topic for this thread, but here's one I have earmarked for closer inspection: Web Standards Solutions: The Markup & Style Handbook I'm curious more than anything. |

http://www.simplebits.com/bits/simplequiz/ After the DWWS con of last year I'm gonna stick to reading the net. That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.

Might give it a miss then. Gonna give the simplequiz more of a browse later, but the few portions of the simplequiz that I have read come to conclusions which I don't see as being the best, most comprehensive solutions. |
