I want to write for magazines.

Having seen some attempts at article writing for various magazines. I have decided that I could infact do better. In fact I think some of the writing has been copied from other sources.

Has anyone had any experience of this or know off any people who have.

Thanks

Mik, are you talking technical journalism (tutorials, blah blah) or something else?

I'd actually be interested to hear any advice on the this too (writing for mags & periodicals).
I might as well put all this literary energy to some use rather than waste my pearls of wisdom on yoo orrible lot.

Who knows, if I was to use up my energy for writing elsewhere, it may even result in me making more concise posts here.
How's that for an incentive?

Craig Grannell ( found mainly on the DO board i think) does a lot of writing - he's probably the only person I've come across that actually makes money from it, so is probably the best to ask.

Mike...Adrian Selby used to a bit of writing for cre@te and .net if I remember rightly. He's based in Barry and chucked in this web design lark for a proper job (producer for console games co.). See if I can dig out his e-mail and pm ya.

He's a nice bloke too.

Japanmilk

Thought I'd reply, don't know if I can be of any help.

About two/three years ago I wrote a tutorial for computer arts on Flash 4 and a tutorial for computer arts web design special. CA also featured the company I used to run. I also did a makeover feature for Internet Works magazine and some other bits and bobs.

If you want to know anything, just get in touch.

Cheers
Chris
