book suggestion

I need to buy literature (not available in my country) and here is a list I´ve collected:

* “Type and layout” by Colin WeilDon
* “What is a designer” by Norman Potter
* “Stop stealing sheep and find out how type works” by eric Spiekerman
* “The art of looking sideways” by Alan Fletcher
* “Type and typography” by Phil Baines & Andrew Haslan
* “Grid systems” by Josef Muller Brockmann
* “The new typography” by Jan Tshichold
* “Pioneers of modern typography” by Herbert Spencer
* “Notes on graphic design” by Derek Birdsall
* “Graphic design as second language” by Bob Gill
* “Perverse optimist” by Peter hall
* “Designing type” by Karen Cheng
* “The elements of typographic design” by Robert Bringhurst
* “Thinking with type” by Ellen Luppon

I´m deeply in love with typography and I dont have any degree or whatsoever, so far I´ve learned by myself while working as a graphic designer wannabee. Probably some of you have read the most of them, so I´d love some suggestions which ones to buy.

Those are the ones i have from your list that are worth getting, they are the essential although all the books on your list have there points.

I like this list a lot. Once I ever find the time and the money I'm so going to load up a huge library of books. ...Hey I'll look smart...maybe...

why on earth was this moved to print? Probably a better place would be graphic design or typography subsection

"Grid Systems" by Josef Muller Brockmann looks great. I'm definitely purchasing that one!
