Setting up mini studio

I'm a graphic design student who's about to put together a portfolio of my latest work. It includes packaging that I really want to take photographs of. How do I go about setting up my own mini studio at home? What do i need? Thanks All

you'll be needing an infinty curve and some big halogen lamps.

failing that, a (clean) white bedsheet and some spotlights from homebase should see you through.

Try to avoid reflections if using spotlights - bounce the light off the wall or a big sheet of something to avoid reflections.

try summut like a Lastolite Cubelite and a few household tablelamps - made for product photography and no reflections. If you want a cheaper version look at Maplins - they have a small one for about 20quid.
