Scotland via Infrared

I went to Scotland last week and took my Canon 10D and Hoya InfraRed filter.

The results are quite nice

So they are, some of the pictures remind me of old sci-fi films.

nice stuff.
There are a few shots on there that seem a bit dark and lacking in contrast though.

Yer, I'm still getting to grips with adjusting the infrared shots in Photoshop so while some are amazing some are so-so

Hehe I wasn't expecting them to be *that* good. I'm just as amazed by the shots as everyone else is "Wow, did I really take that?"

It filters out normal light leaving only infrared light, I think It didn't really come with any info.

they look really old fashioned.

Hmm. I have some shots in colour from that area. The light wasn't the best unfortunately. The old fashioned look is the way they're meant to be. Infrared gives you an insight into a world you never see. Its not a Photoshop filter, its a filter I put on my lens. Its all normal light, we just don't see it.
