where do you buy equipment in uk?
Hi, anyone suggests any good shops that are worth buying lenses and filters from, possibly in the London or Reading area. Should at least know what they are selling, am looking currently for a 50mm 1.8 nikkor, hopefully for less than 80quid. so where should i go? or is any net based store worth the risk of mail postings. |

Don't know what the shipping prices would be like but the best store over here is B&H Photo. With Britain being such a rip-off for prices I'm sure you'd still be better off. Ilford Photo, (in Ilford so not too far from London), used to be fairly competitive - been a long time since I was there though. |

Warehouse Express - Camera Accessories and Lenses, Photography Equipment, Canon, Nikon Digital Cameras - UK based, cheap, postage is fine Amazon.co.uk: low prices in Electronics, Books, Music, DVDs & more - UK based, cheap, postage fine Onestop Digital - HK based, very cheap, postage good. You'll find that lenses are much cheaper on the internet than in store; and in my opinion the expense negates the fact that you're picking it up there and then. I ordered a 10-22mm from HK and it came perfectly about 5 days after I ordered it. |
