Digital, it's simple:

• Use a site like iStock for your images
• They present you with all the legal jargon to agree to before you download/purchase each image. You might want to read through it once and keep a copy for your records.
• They provide comps (watermarked and of low quality for obvious reasons)
• Incorporate the price for stock images into your bill for the client.

I heard that if an image is modified enough then it is not really illegal anymore and in court they will not find guilt, is that not true? I think it was by percentage, 75% or something...

Yeah like I said I was thinking to start purchasing images and I will, but only problem is that sometimes you can purchase an image and it might not fit or look good on the site, and downloading comps isn't too great... But for the most part it should be ok I guess, just a bit extra work... I could use the comp and remove the watermark then if it fits and looks good purchase it, I think thats good idea, yes?

As for the reply to my 2nd quote, it's a good idea sans removing the watermark. Clients should understand, if they don't provide you with quality photography, that you will be using pieces FPO.

Well I think making quotes with answers to them is much better then making duplicate posts like I see some of you do here... It makes forum more organized and easier to read and navigate.
