Low contrast shots.

Anyone got any tips?

It is mainly white on white I am having trouble with. White paper with minimal print (like stationery and such) on a white BG for my folio. I have ponced a Fuji S6500. (it's a bridge camera with some manual control over the aperture, shutter speed, focus etc)

I have some workmans lights that performed well with the high contrast stuff, (4 x 500watt halogens) and had really good results just with the flash bounced of a wall, but the white on white stuff is grey, flat and no definition with both the flash and lights.

Please help a noddy in need.
