Photo to Canvas

I came across the site www.youareart.co.uk, which offers a service to transfer photographs to canvas for display & was just wondering if anyone has used this before, or any similar services .. if so what do you make of it/them?

TIA

Did this sort of thing myself (exposing shots onto alternative surfaces such as canvas, wood, metal and even walls and furniture) back in my early courses.
You can get some really stunning effects and create some very interesting pieces.

Given the difficulties of doing it yourself, this service is definately something I can see myself using.

It's the place i'm planning to buy my camera that told me about it, as they have some sort of arrangement with them to give camera-buyers money off at youareart

http://www.internetcamerasdirect.co.uk/

I know quite a few people who have bought through them and all recommend them, plus the price they quote for the camera I want is £50 cheaper than Jessops. It's a Fuji s5000 i'm getting if anyone cares

loads of places are printing onto canvas these days - my local Snappy Snaps does it even. i'm thinking of getting a few done in a few months time as i'm doing the photography for a friends wedding, thought it might make a nice present.

Hi!

Just came across your thread and wondering if you'd tried gaskinimages.com in the UK.

Take a look at www.gaskinimages.com

I believe they are a bit cheaper than youareart and have a fantastic website too.

www.gaskinimages.com is supposed to be the best around. The canvases take about 2 - 3 weeks.

Wicked service...

Expensive... but worth it compared to the cost of buying a printer that can do this and doing it yourself...

Oh the cynicism, and at Christmas as well.

gaskinimages are supposed to be good though - read a few things about them in photography magazines, a top notch service it seems.

Gaskinimages - for all you photo-to-canvas needs. All major credit cards accepted. Closed Sundays.

ample free parking, your house maybe be at risk if you do not keep up repayments, while stocks last, terms and conditions apply.
