My new portfolio/photography site

Finally got it finished XHTML + CSS, 508 + WCAG Level 1,2,3 compliant.

Flash slideshows - music + my photography
Galleries
Wallpapers of some of my shots (gunna make more if anyone wants some)

Inspired by all those great photography sites you see. I wanted to make one of mine. I used Flash to make the slideshows, I didn't want a 100% Flash site, so just for the slideshows

It took ages to get just the right music. Days of sitting there listening to tunes while looking at the images to see if they felt right. In the end, I'm really happy with them. Well, more than happy. Some of them just go oh so well.

I wanted the fireworks one to be longer, and did make it the full length of the song, but Flash seemed to fall apart after a while.

ah the url http://petemc.net

Some nice phototgraphy there, but also a few float problems.

For example:
Attached Images
File Type: jpg ie5x.jpg (50.8 KB, 73 views)
File Type: jpg opera7.jpg (84.3 KB, 69 views)

/me shakes fist at Opera, "Damn u!" I'm sure it *used* to be ok in it.

Also appears the site doesn't work at all in Safari :O Dunno why as I don't have a mac handy to test. Surely something should show up, I'm guessing its because i tried to be clever and used borders and not images for the borders....typical

It does look just like any other photo site really, I'm not that great a designer, but I'm happy with it.

Any browsers that work similar to Safari that I can test on Linux / Windows? As I can imagine the constant "Works yet" spamming to here would get a tad annoying.

Fine in Dreamweaver MX2004/IE6/Firebird.... comes up at least in Opera 7 / IE5.5. Hmmmmm.

Something I just thought, "Would you hire me?" based on the site, the portfolio n all that. Does it look like I have enough "Comercial experience"? The sites to be my main selling point as I've grown a bit tired of the freelance *ahem* market. When I last tried to get a job people often told me I didn't have enough comerical exprience, so I'm hoping that the sites list and variety of work will be enough this time around. Although, i guess that any potential employer using Safari won't really be all that impressed

Woo fixed Thanks to a trial go at browsercam.com where I found that Opera 6.05 had the same bug, so I downloaded it and tested some stuff to find I made a stupid mistake with the top level container div. Yes thats right, it was set to hidden

Your site looks perfect in Netscape 7.02. It sure is elegant! I want to know, though, how you disable horizontal scrolling in Netscape for your 'slideshows' navigation menu ( which appears after I clik on 'slideshow' )

Thanx! And I'll get back with you when I get redhat linux running again... humphh! I modified my x86config till the gui doesnt work anymore. Will fix it and get back to u... tell me more about your disabling hori. scrolling meanwhile. thnks a million
