My girlfriend has a D50. Advice when buying a D50, go for the body only and a Sigma 18 - 50mm F2.8 EX DC instead of the kit lens. It'll cost you more but you'll have a much much better lens with f/2.8 throughout the focal length of the lens. On the other hand I've been very happy with my D70s Andrew Parker

We've got the D50 at work, and I've done some shooting with it. I like it a lot. Its strange to use dSLR, I've become accustom to my minolta srt202. I've heard people say they liked the D70 alot, but I've found the d50 to take some really nice shots. All in all, its a good Entry Level dSLR. |
