Album of the month, my vote goes to…

Bauer - Baueresque

Carpenters meets Beach Boys meets electropop meets beats meets stereolab meets us sub-pop meets

Little gem of an album.
Recommended.

I'd written Belle & Sebastion off a while back on account of them being too whiney and lacking variety within their albums.
Maybe I should give their stuff a second chance.

The new(?) Kings of Convenience album (Riot on a Quiet Street) isn't fairing much better with me.
Seems trapped between Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon's more uppity '80s stuff.
Quiet Is The New Loud was a decent enough album, but I think this one would sound better after a decent remix (à la 'Versus').

Maybe I've just had enough of that Scandenavian 'alt-pop' sound.

Towhit…

Now playing: Brian Eno & David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts (1981)

I managed to get an interview in with Erlend and Eirik and although no decision's been made yet, they didn't rule out another remix album.

I've only heard Misread so far off the new album. I think that's lovely but not sure a whole album of the same will stay on my stereo for long.

You can't beat naked women.

I can see our hits rising in the next half hour.

For anyone wondering

Quote:
Diplo - Indian Thick Jawns
Straight from Florida via Philly, the man Diplo offers up more superb avant garde bounce while his buddy, System D-128, cuts up the vintage erotica/exotica. Blimey, vicar!
Not sure if this is a warning or endorsement but PLEASE NOTE THIS VIDEO CONTAINS NAKED WOMEN!

Been listening to Method Man and Kelis recently. And some by those moany boys with the bike and red flares.

And before that - Jurassic 5 on the sunny weekend.
