Senser's 1994-5 album 'Stacked Up' (rightly) drew comparisons with RATM's brand of rock/rap, though, from what I recall, Senser reverses RATM's 60/40 rock bias, especially as regards the underlying music and the lyrical content is a touch more socially/politically coherent than pure 'rage'. I'd recommend tracking down a cheap copy of Stacked Up and adding it to your collection. It's full of hooky, worthy tracks that you can get your teeth into in the same way that many of RATM's are. There are some clips available on the Stacked Up page at Amazon.com site. |

Not so fast there, cowboy… I understand that you either like him or you don't and I understand that he's back in vogue at the moment, but Johnny Cash has never appealed to me in the slightest. Just can't help noticing how many people seem to be suddenly finding his work like some new religion and banging on about it as though it's actually any good. |
