Haven't decided yet what kinda soundtrack today needs.
I'm thinking maybe something a little on the jazz-folk side or mellow jazz-funk - or quite possibly something that's a little of both*.

(* 'Folky' compilation)

Fennesz - Venice

Should appeal to fans of My Bloody Valentine, Sigur Ros, The Cocteau Twins, Low-period Bowie, Jim O'Rourke, Tujiko Noriko, Oval, Sonic Youth and The Velvet Underground.

End of public service broadcast

I actually slept right through a Fennesz concert at the RFH a few years back.
It was a b'day treat for myself and a few friends. Haven't listened to Fennesz since.

Ah well. Endless Summer is high up on my favourite album lists.

Maybe you should get to bed earlier

I'll pull out some Fennesz from the racks and see if I can stay awake this time.
I used to be dead into that kinda stuff.
Guess my music tastes become more structured as I age.

Given that I started out listening to RasterNoton for its experimental/sound/noise artists and I'm now loving Leaf Label for it's folk(tronic) artists…

Oh dear

Ended up passing on the Fennesz and went with Anorak instead (14 Secrets We Shouldn't Tell).
(Recommended for any indietronic listeners)

I was sent Adem Ilhan's new solo album this weekend. Just been having a listen on the way to work and it's lovely.

Each to their own I guess, I would say that there is a good range of different styles to their work though
