I can sort of see that. Maybe the Shins, too - if we're talking about modern bands.

Bob Dylan - "The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan" - now that is winter music. "John Wesley Harding" and "Nashville Skyline" are up there, too. Anything by Tom Waits, especially the older stuff (70s- early 80s).

Actually, both are perfect anytime, anywhere.
