yes, im the same sleepingfish, i bought it on impulse and its not a patch on the last one, hes somehow EVEN MORE out of tune and more off the beat than the last album. Maybe this is the thing in UK garage (that should really have flashed up waring signs in my head) but it makes it hard to listen too.

oh well, maybe a few listens and ill change my mind but it just feels like a gimick album to be at the moment

It was always gonna be hard to top the first one but I think hes done a decent job, there aren't as many dancy tunes but there are some quality and funny lines in there.

Hated the first album with a passion - thought it was someone taking the piss when I first heard it. Sadly it wasn't. From what i've heard of the second one its more of the same.

But... I've warmed to the man a little after seeing him on Johnny Ross the other week. Still think his music is pap though.

Speaking of garage(ish)…

Anyone else heard the Delinquents remix of Natasha Bedingfield's track 'Single' (CD2)?
I only listened to the two CDs out of curiosity, but the Delinquents remix takes me straight back to Ministry of Sound and the kind of (pre UK speed-garage) garage/house sound from when CJ Mackintosh was the ressy, the age-limit/door policy was applied and clubbers there generally made more of an effort.

Cracking track.

So, is Natasha Bedingfield Daniels sister? He of the appalling "Gotta Get Through This" fame?

Ive heard rumours that the Streets are planning on making a book out of the lyrics, (possibly in a typographically, dirty, artistic style?)

..hmmm... sounds interesting

Yeh, I know from interviews that this was intentional, and in some cases it works, but I think the lyrics worked better on the first album when they were closer to the rhythm.

It is beginning to grow on me, there's still no stand-out classics. I suppose most concept albums sound gimmicky.

I will give him credit for making another album that sounds like nothing else out there though.

That would be interesting, could pursuade me to buy a box set if they put one out with that included.

I just heard that for the first time, and while I wouldn't say it's a classic by any means, the lyrics are very well delivered. Brings back memories indeed
