This is so good I think it deserves a thread of its own...

Beck - Chemtrails / The Hype Machine

What do you think? His new album, produced by none other than Danger Mouse, is rumored to be out in June, has 10 tracks and is approx half an hour long.
A statement says the track is not a single, but "showcases Beck and Danger Mouse's shared affection for late '60s psych-pop, according to a statement." 'Chemtrails' was also aired for the first time this morning on BBC Radio 1.

well, of course that was a sweeping generalisation by me just then ... but 30 minutes is just short change thesedays ..

some hidden tracks are over 15 mins long !!

as long as he does the decent thing and gives it away then i'll be happy.

NOTE : i just checked my copies of Tago Mago and Landed - and they're well over 30 mins anyway ..

PS - well, i never realised that Mother Sky was a Can track ... I'm used to the version by a band called Loop ...

learn something new every day ...

loop were one of those psychedelic noise bands of the early 90's ... spacemen3 and loop were my kind of acid-drone-rock band for a while ...

i love it - but it don't sound too special without the 'enhancements'

do ya a copy if ya want .. ?
