Actually do you think music can affect a design or act as inspiration ? I just finshed a set of flyers for a house/trance music event down in Essex and while I did it I played a live recording of one of their previous events, the client was 100% happy with my first idea and kept the design exactly as it was! |

If it's at the office then random stuff from the mp3 PC, which usually is a mix of nice & cheesy 80s synthpop, indie rock, contemporary pop and basically anything we can sing along to in silly voices and mangle up the lyrics to form obscure sexual references. At home I like to chill to some dark ambient (raison d'etre, circular, herbst9, etc) then warm up with some IDM (kettel, funckarma, oldschool autechre, etc.) then get the juices flowing with some noise (tarmvred, zwan, skinny puppy, etc.). I like to mix it up in extreme ways tho, going from one end of the spectrum to another, which drives my colleagues nuts :-) |
