Went to Ian Brown gig in Folkestone last night – utter shite.

Without doubt the worst gig I've ever been to – he sounded awful, like a flat, drunk karaoke singer. Lots of people not happy there, spent most of the evening in the bar.

I don't like saying any of this as I've been a fan of his for a long time (since Roses) and he is a legend, but If any of you are planning to go to any of the other gigs – I wouldn't bother.

He is indeed a legend, but I've seen him 3 times now and he's been shit every time.

Some of his previous solo stuff has been good, but when he was in the Stone Roses it was better. Will have a listen to his new one.

The only Roses gig i saw left me with the same impression of his vocal talents ...
I've heard farts that were more in tune ..

yer, i seen him twice, both time he sounded worse than the generator on the burger van outside.

this however, is the only recorded moment of him singing in tune on stage:
YouTube - Ian Brown - I Wanna Be Adored (T in the Park)

quality rendition.
