Foo Fighters
no thread for them? show them some love. Now this is my favorite band, since 1997, thanks to their best record THE COLOUR AND THE SHAPE, then they came up with their second best THERE IS NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE. In between those releases I went back to their first selftitled album. After that they went completely mediocre with "One By One" and tried to save theirselves with "In Your Honor" (2 discs(1rock/1acoustic)) nice concept. But the rock lacked. HOWEVER, all of their b-sides have A LOT to say: They have sappy poppy/rocky songs, hardcore songs, you name it. I just fell for them back then and fully support them. They are one of the best performances in the world, yet I still haven't got the chance to see them live. Hopefully I'll do it this tour. And let me whore them out a bit. NEW ALBUM "Echoes Silence Patience & Grace" out next Tuesday in the Americas. Monday elsewhere I believe. So, thoughts on them? On their last powersingle "The Pretender"? ps- Shoot! I just went through my words and sound like a street teamer. I'm not! haha |

ya throwin sarcasm? Street Teamer are a**holes signing up in boards just to say "hi thought you wanted to check "x" band. do it at myspace/shittyband" OR, if you actually are being sarcastic, I don't find anything "stalker-ish" in admiring a band. Yes I'm a fan. only a fan, there are levels on fans. |

there is nothing left to lose is not just their most mediocre album, it could be in a top 100 list. One by one was really pretty good. in your honor made me lose interest in them, so for that reason, i hate it. Colour and the shape is ace, a fully well rounded classic rock album. the most overlooked though is the first album. it's really good, very clever, X-static is great. the whole album is full of riffs. |

I did use to like them but for some reason, I just can't bloody stand them anymore. I've seen them live a few times & I had all their albums (apart from In your honors) which I gave away to charity. The same with Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Two bands I used to love which I can't stand anymore. What's happening to me? |

i think Foos are better than Nirvana. I'm afraid Nirvana are only as 'legendary' as they are due to the old rock'n'roll winner - a premature death ... there. i said it. fuck signatures

don't get me wrong, as nirvana is/was one of my favourite bands. but dave grohl is definitely a better songwriter than kurt cobain ever was. |
