I used to spin electro house a bit... I have two 1200 MK5's and 2 CDJ's... it was a nice setup I just grew out of the whole electronic music thing I guess. There are some really talented artists out there I think the general public just needs to give "techno" a chance

Great electronic music is done by: Nathan Fake, James Holden, actually most of the Border Community-label, Dominik Eulberg, Ricardo Villalobos, Stephan Bodzin, Tiefschwarz, Vitalic, Legowelt, some of those Ed Banger cats, T Raumschmiere, Apparat, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, and some other cats.
(not disciminating by genre)

Tiesto's crappy harmonic synth-strings pop has been lame for quite a long time now. Trust me I'm Dutch, I'm so fucking fed up with all this trance people have been listening to for the last decade. Even gabber was better than this.

I'm all about the breaks myself. Unfortunately breaks isn't popular here in Japan, so when Im clubbing I generally have to settle for house, which isn't so bad, but not my favorite. I like hip hop a lot too though, and there are some hooooot hip hop chicks here (my secretary being one of them!)

Electro house music? How does that differ to house music? Electro to me was always afrika bambaataa, cybotron, hashim, malcom mclaren, street sounds electro, kraftwerk and all that kind of thing. The "electro" title seems to be applied to everything now. What is it?

Anything with "funky" in it's name needs to fucking die, funky house in particular.
