Beck on BBC4
Beck's gig last night was recorded to be shown on BBC4 at a later date. Can't wait. I love his electric stuff but his new acoustic album 'Sea Change' is a beauty. That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.

I haven't either yet but I got a leaflet through the door yesterday from Telewest offering their Essential TV package for £8.50 a month. I can handle that. I was gonna get freeview anyway but this keeps the gf happy with E4! That's fuckin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss fuckin' watch.

ah well, i do get some nice channels (E4, MTV, Sky etc.) for free anyway thanks to the complete incompetence of a certain communication company. I use a completely legal cable box that they came around to the flat and plugged in for me, yet they have no record of it  |

I must be the only person who hasn't had a problem with NTL. I have been a customer of their for 3 years, have a maxed-out Digital TV subscription, their dial-up Internet service is good enough for me not to be too bothered about getting Broadband at the moment and the phone works, well, like a phone. My only complaint is that the Caller ID service is not supported in my area yet, making my trio of fancy Panasonic handsets lack one nice feature...... Andrew Parker

When we left Uni we tried to return our box three times, they didn't want it... then when my mate (who's name the account was under) tried to sign up again he couldn't due to us "not returning the box"  |
