TV on the Radio
Gotta say the best band new to my ears lately has been TV on the Radio. Found 'em through a Spin article a couple months back and grabbed their recent album Return to Cookie Mountain without even a listen. They're something else. Great aural experience. Head to iTunes and just give them a few 30 second listens.

Apart from them? Death Cab for Cutie, Stook, The Decemberists ...

"Staring at the Sun" and "Blind" are my two favorite songs from them. Very good band.

Hours is a great track by TV on the Radio...heard it on a comp new artists album from HMV! Great rhythm and unusual sound! Death Cab are good on a CD but crap live in my experience!
