If anyone's got the Franz Ferdinand track I'd be grateful if you could pass it my way.

Cheers

...HMV...
Egads!
In my experience HMV stores (online or offline) are often the most expensive place to buy music.
Don't even consider asking them to get hold of an import copy of anything. You're likely to be paying almost twice as much as any other place (incl. small, independent stores with considerably higher overheads and no bulk buying discounts).

While we're kinda on the subject...

Anyone got anything to say about Emusic.com?

It looks good on paper and I'm considering giving it a go as they appear to have a leaning towards the less obvious groups, artists and styles.

I personally cannot condone paying for downloadable music - whatever next .

You be telling me next you can download music without paying - as if.

I'm trying to find out the quality of the files at Emusic and all the help(ful) pages are returning memory errors.

Doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence in Emusic.

Some info I found on mp3 sites...
Theres an article on here http://www.stereoplay.de/ (needs transalting) reviewing mp3 download sites.

These 2 came out top:
http://www.magnatune.com/
http://www.allofmp3.com

Followed by:
http://www.emusic.com/
http://www.weblisten.com

There's also a list of sites on here:
http://www.museekster.com/legalmusic.htm

Dunno what the range of available genres etc is like tho
