Depends on my mood, the client, how close the deadline is and the type of work but i generally find instrumental post-rock / math-rock / jazz-rock best to design websites with. e.g. broken social scene, do make say think, NLF[3] trio, Tortoise, American Football etc...

Okay this is weird but I like Springsteen. Especially his latest album, it's pretty good.

Techno is not even music.

Otherwise I tend to listen to something in the background. Doesn't matter what it is. I just can't take the silence of just me typing.

I listen to purely instrumental or foreign language music. Therefore, words won't distract you from your work.

I usually jam to some downtempo stuff, Royksopp, Zero 7, and Thievery Corporation to name a few. Also, anything from Om records is good for me as well.

none

I only listen to hiphop music, ie rap. when working I prefer silence as rap lyrics just break my concentration badly, no matter how good they are, it just doesn't fit. Maybe I should try some classical...

Just like cake isn't food. Almost as stupid as your 'flash = bad design' comment. I can see you are going to fit right in here.

Pendulum - Hold your colour

I find drum and bass, especially instrumentals help me design and code better. Something to do with the fast paced beat I'd imagine

I listen to whatever song comes up on my pandora radio. It's pretty awesome though, it is seeded off of Joker & The Thief by Wolfmother, so it's always gonna be good.

I'll occasionally listen to di.fm too.
