I quite like the Guns N' Roses tracks from the long overdue album, I think the tracks except for one are spot on, not sure they are finished mixes as I only heard them previewed on a GNR fan website but well done Axl it's only taken 12 fucking years to make, I fear we may all be dead by the time it actually gets a physical release. Just how Geffen Records and Axl are going to combat online theft is beyond me when it is actually released it's gonna crash a few servers. YouTube - Guns N Roses - Madagascar ( 07 Videoclip) Hope I don't get a visit from the FBI. |

The Modern Lovers - self titled album. ![]() Classic tracks, start of American punk perhaps? Roadrunner has been covered so many times. Who Made Who - self titled album / either version ![]() Quirky/crazy Danish band that released this album in two versions, one lo-fi/acoustic and the other more dance Death From Above 1979 - all the stuff you can get your hands on, ![]() Play it loud on something with a lot of bass... Blue Note Blue Break Beats - vol 1, 2 or 3 ![]() funk jazz in one word.... cool Ween - Chocolate & Cheese ![]() just check out the cover mang, enuff said.. Sixto Rodriguez - Cold Fact ![]() this review from amazon sums it up: This album deserves 6 stars. Every track is sublime. The lyrics, thought provoking, have dated well and are still relevant today. The muscianship, imaginative and accomplished. The production, stunning. I could go on and on. If you have any interest in West Coast sounds, folk rock, singer/songwriter material of the late 1960's and early 1970's and you do not own this, buy it now. You'll thank me later. A lost jewel of an album from a bygone age, when music was still music and not sanitised drivel. word. |
