Has anyone been to Hammersmith Apollo? its one of the few london venues I have not been to and I am wondering what it was like?

its the same as all the others. the only one worth raving about is the astoria b'cos of its size.

Electric Ballroom is good too. Is Hammersmith one of those places with a sloping floor?

The Apollo is one of those huge soul-less places. OK for comedy but crap for live music. KoKo's is where you wanna be, or the Empire in Shepherds Bush aint too bad, or that one in Kentish Town... hmm

Got some friend playing in the Garage in Islington soon... think i might blag the role of official camerachap for the evening.
