Importing Options in AE
Hi, I was a little frustrated last night when I was trying to follow the first project in the “Flash + After Effects” book, I was importing a Folder with six files in it two of these files have multiple layers one is an illustrator file and the other is a photoshop file and according to the author AE should recognize these files with multiple layers as soon as you hit the import folder button and ask you how to import them, as footage or as a composition but when I click the import button it doesn’t ask me, it imports the files as footage without layers. I went to the preferences and found an importing option which by default imports everything as Footage I changed this option to Composition, and now everything is imported as composition even .swf files. My question is why is that I’m not getting the import option when importing folders with multiple files, is there something in my settings that need to be changed? Thanks |

exactly, that's what i always do. If you select a whole bunch AE doesn't ask anything and just imports all files with default settings. |
